Hi guys! So, after many weeks of resisting the urge, I caved and purchased the Creme Le Main and two limited edition Chanel bronzers. I kept seeing them all over instagram and they are just so pretty. I own and love the Soleil Tan De Chanel Creme Bronzer, but I’ve never owned a Chanel powder bronzer. So, I was very curious and I decided I’d spoil myself. I say “spoil” because these aren’t cheap. If you’re a beauty junkie and you follow a lot of beauty accounts on IG, then you have seen these pretty products before. If you’ve ever wondered if they’re good products that are worth buying, then this review is for you!
I couldn’t find the products all in one place other than on the Chanel website so I purchased them from there. I don’t usually purchase makeup products directly from the brands website unless they’re having a sale and free shipping, but ordering from Chanel directly was a pleasant surprise. It came in a cute package with the Chanel box (complete with a black ribbon and Chanel Flower) and was just a gigantic delight, especially during these difficult times. Quarantine can be daunting, and for me, very lonely. So, this was a fun and exciting thing to get in the mail. I didn’t think about how they would wrap it and it took a little while to arrive so, by the time I got it , it was like I wasn’t even expecting it lol(I’m also very forgetful).

LA CREME MAIN - TEXTURE RICHE
Hand cream is something that I’ve always associated with living in colder regions of the country or aging hands. The truth is that our hands show our age even if our faces don’t and they never stop growing(I know. So weird)! Taking care of our skin everywhere is important so I made it a point to pay extra attention to the skin on the back of my hands. I use sunscreen in addition to a hand cream.
This is an excellent choice in a luxury hand cream. The shape of the packaging fits nicely in the palm of your hand and the cream is rich as described. It comes in a cute little drawstring pouch as well. I used it the other day while at a restaurant and I felt like it instantly hydrated and blurred the lines on my hands. I’m happy with this purchase. I will update you, once I finish the product, on whether or not I decide to repurchase.
CHANEL MAKEUP PRODUCTS
They’re always so fun to look at and use. The brand does an incredible job with both its packaging and its formulas. Right now the majority of beauty lovers are calling for more pigmentation, but Chanel has kept most of their powder products light and buildable. I can’t tell you how much I prefer this as opposed to products that deliver intense pigmentation on the first swipe. When using buildable products, especially if you’re using a final-touch product, like a blush or a bronzer, it’s nice to not have to worry about completely ruining your makeup with an overly pigmented product instantly. With Chanel, I take comfort in knowing I can always add more if I want to. In my opinion, the very first application of a product shouldn’t deliver so much pigment that it sets the rest of your face off balance.
LES BEIGES - EXCLUSIVE CREATION HEALTHY GLOW SHEER POWDER
I like this bronzer because it’s sheer, but buildable and can still deliver the desired intensity. It’s beautiful and natural looking. The cursive ‘Chanel’ on the compact and imprinted in the powder is a nice touch too. Like the Chanel blushes, the bronzers come with a velvet pouch(pictured above) to protect its’ case from scratching. I got it in shade N30, a darker shade for summer. I usually don’t use the brushes that come with most products. These brushes are soft and shaped similar to fan brushes; they’re concave. I prefer my own brush, but when doing touch ups on the go, I would use these.
LES BEIGES - HEALTHY GLOW ILLUMINATING POWDER
This is a newer release. The bronzer has a little gold sparkle to it, which is very subtle and perfect for summer. I like to layer it on top of the sheer powder or use it on its own. The rope design imprinted into the powder and on the front of the compact is a cute nautical theme. It comes in two shades, “Sand” and “Sunset”. This is “Sunset”, the darker of the two shades.
SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL
This is beautiful underneath your foundation. Yes, I start with this after a primer(if I use one that day). After I apply the cream bronzer, I’ll apply foundation. This is a sure proof way to avoid harsh lines. You can also use it over your foundation and I do that too sometimes. It’s useful, in general, for when you’re trying to achieve the dewy look. Cream products can be intimidating and tricky to apply. I use a contour brush and buff it into my skin in all the areas I want to be bronzed. It’s expensive, but you get a lot of product and I really like that.
I know that after reading this review you’ll be asking yourself if there is a point in buying both powder bronzers. My answer is no. Unless you’re a makeup collector, I think you should go with the one cream and one powder bronzer. I think the hand cream is a fun luxurious thing to have and I would recommend it. I like both powder bronzers and I’m happy I have both. If I had to recommend one over the other, I would ask the person contemplating the decision whether they like shimmer or not. If you don’t like shimmer, go with the Healthy Glow Sheer Powder Bronzer. If you like shimmer, go with the Healthy Glow Illuminating Powder Bronzer. I love having both a creme and a powder, so I would always recommend the Soleil Tan De Chanel. Sometimes I want a more dewy look and creme bronzers are appropriate for that.
